The BCCCS has registered over 14,000 members from all walks of society, who have shared the reality of living with a serious illness. Not all 14,000 are with us today and we honour our passed members on a dedicated altar in the Dispensary.

Due to the effectiveness of cannabis at relieving a wide array of symptoms and conditions, many different illnesses are represented in the BCCCS membership.

Although members come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, many live on limited incomes due to their chronic or critical illnesses.

Members range in age from 19-90 years old. Members who are under 19 must have the written consent of their parent or legal guardian, and must have a guardian present during the orientation session and purchasing.

Experience with cannabis varies from those who have known of its benefits for decades – medicinally or recreationally – to those trying it for the first time.
