The BC Compassion Club Society is in an exciting phase of its 24-year evolution. We currently have an application with Health Canada for a medical license. This represents an important step to allow us to continue to serve our members in the Dispensary and Wellness Centre.
Being on the Board
We are currently looking for new Board members to help us navigate the path forward. This volunteer role requires participation by Zoom, in monthly Board meetings and in some Committee meetings. The total commitment would be about 6-8 hours per month.
If you have benefited from our cannabis products and/or services in the Wellness Centre, please consider this opportunity to make a difference.
Ideal applicants:
• Must be comfortable using a consensus model when working with staff and other Board members. Training is provided using our BCCCS consensus manual.
• Must be willing to work with a diverse group of Board members and staff. Every voice counts and every voice is heard.
• Must be supportive of research, advocacy, and advancing the role of medicinal cannabis.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
Successful applicants will need a criminal record check and to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The Board Directors are asked to serve a two-year term, which can be renewed.
If you are interested or know another member who might be a fit, please ask the Front Desk staff for an Application Form. If you have questions, you can ask them or send an email to info@thecompassionclub.org
We look forward to hearing from you!
