Our Members

The BCCCS has over 5,000 members from all walks of life of Canadian society, who share the reality of living with a serious illness.

Due to the effectiveness of cannabis at relieving a wide array of symptoms and conditions, many different illnesses are represented in the BCCCS membership.

Although members come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, many live on limited incomes due to their chronic or critical illnesses.

Members range in age from 19-90 years old. Members who are under 18 must have the written consent of their parent or legal guardian.

Experience with cannabis varies from those who have known of its benefits for decades – medicinally or recreationally – to those trying it for the first time.
